Getting Started

We are not accepting any new clients.

Santa Fe DBT accepts the following insurance plans:

Presbyterian Health Plan: commercial employer plans, individual plans and Centennial Care/Medicaid plans
BCBS: commercial employer plans only
NMHC: commercial employer plans and individual Marketplace plans
True Health New Mexico: commercial employer plans and individual Marketplace plans

When you contact us for more information, we can tell you if we accept your health insurance plan. If you pay out of pocket, the cost is approximately $250 per week. Upon request, we will provide a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) for the total expected cost of any health care services or when scheduling such services.

How to Make a Referral

If you are a psychiatrist or other mental health professional wanting to make a referral for DBT, please call Jill Tiedemann at 505-983-8502.

Santa Fe DBT provides standard and adherent DBT. A referral to DBT is a referral for the entire treatment, not for skills training only. DBT requires that clients have only one individual therapist, which means that the referring therapist must terminate with the client prior to the client beginning DBT. Sometimes, if everyone is in agreement, clients will return to the referring therapist after they complete the initial year of DBT.

Mental health professionals wishing to make a referral will need to provide the following information:

Client’s name, age and contact information
Client’s payment source
Client’s key problem behaviors including current substance use, suicidal behavior and recent hospitalizations
Client’s willingness to commit to treatment
